Excuse the formatting, (mobile typing - I'll fix this later).
It goes to show how far I've come as a writer to directly publish on mobile.
No, it is simply about relentlessly putting the hours in; word after word/minute after minute.
Fuck that - I'm just buzzed from my second drink in 20 minutes.
I'm sipping on a double Monkey Shoulder, and I finished a Hibiki Suntory Whiskey not long ago.
I'm currently in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport - Bombay/Mumbai (if you're cool) and I missed my flight to Phuket, Thailand last night.
Once bitten, twice shy:
I visited Thailand for the first time last month and left a piece of my heart on that promised (is)land.
Thoughts from my journal:
The bottom line: my luggage got left behind in Delhi on the way to Bangkok last month.
I thought I had to recheck my luggage on the Bombay leg of my Phuket flight.
Turns out, I didn't!
But that time establishing whether I had to caused me to miss my flight; my third in as many years.
I'm headed to Phuket for my best friend Avi's stag do.
I decided to land 4 days earlier for some much-needed R&R…
The period from August ‘24 until now has been relentless.
Colleagues leaving (becoming a business owner drastically changes your identity)
Fuck-ups from said colleagues
Multiple projects
New hires lacking
Cash flow irregularities
One sprained ankle
Car crashes
Two lost phones, plus shades, and earplugs at Wonderfruit Festival
The only thing I can do is endure.
I think the phrase “I ask not for a lighter load, but broader shoulders” either comes from the Bible…or is a Jewish phrase.
I don't care anymore.
I'm somewhat buzzed from this alcohol and I'm going to enjoy this podi dosa.
I'm landing in Phuket tonight to hopefully get some me time…and not be sorting some mission out because I'm not Ethan fucking Hunt.
Drunk love.
And more life.
